Sign on / Event entry at SSAA Office 7:30 am, Event Briefing & Detail Allocation 8:00 am

Shoot commences at 8:30am (Sharp) No late entries.

Military / Service as Issued (Class A/B/C /Spec 1) Iron Sights - Military / Service Origin – Modified (Class H / Spec 2) – Iron Sights

Open Match Rifle (Class M / Spec 3) – Commercial Iron Sights – Open Optical / Tactical /Spec 5 – Centrefire rifle with Optical Sights

 Scores shot with a Military/Service Std-Issue A/B/C iron sight rifles are recognised for 2008 NSW CSD GP Series



 

Match 1          300m “The Rifleman” Slow Fire Application (Prone U/S) (12 Rounds)

2 x (NC) sighters & 10 rounds to score (12 Minutes). Single round loading
                        Each shot individually spotted & value indicated. Type C Target , 4 x 4.      

 

Match 2          3 Position Core Event – 300, 200,100 Walkdown (30 Rounds)
                        Firers view & scores at each range. Type C Target, 4 x 4.
                        Sanctioned NSW CSD Grand Prix Match for Standard Issue Military/ Service Rifles


Match 3
          100m Rapid Fire B (Prone U/S, from standing) (20 Rounds)
                        2 x 50 Second Relays -10 rounds per relay                          

                        Firer’s view & scores at completion. Type C Target, 4 x 4.

                        Sanctioned NSW CSD Grand Prix Match for Standard Issue Military/ Service Rifles
                                  ** Unfired rounds or late fired shot penalties apply for Std Issue rifles

Match 4
          300m “The Sniper” Optical / Tactical Match (Front rest allowed) (25 Rounds).

                        5 (NC) Sighters in 5 Minutes, then 10 rounds deliberate fire in 3 minutes (No marking)
                                                  Followed by 30-60 Second pause then;
                       
5 x 6 Second exposures – to fire 10 rounds.

                        Firers view & scores upon completion. MR6-3 Target (Optical match, but all rifles welcome)        


Range Safety Notice

All competitors must use empty chamber indicators (ECI’s)
(Available for $3.00 on the day)

 

Cost: $25 for event including free snack.
Soft Drinks $ 1.50

Event Notes

1)         Safety first, last and always.
2)         Eye and ear protection is mandatory when on the firing line and in the target pits.

3)         Bolts are to be removed from rifles when not on the firing line. (Local range rule).    

4)         Competitors to secure their firearm/s (in direct possession or locked in vehicle etc), when not on the firing line.
5)         Empty chamber indicators are mandatory. (Available for $3 on the day)

6)         Match 3 – Bolts will remain open whilst the rifle is placed on the ground. (Local range rule)
7)         Sanctioned Matches 2 & 3 conducted in accordance with SSAA CSD National Rule Book, and local range rules.

8)         No Spotting scopes are permitted during Match 2 & 3. (CSD Rules) for GP shooters.

9)         Each detail will complete Match 1, 2 & 3 back to back.  (62 rounds required at the firing line)

10)        The same rifle must be used for Match 1, 2 & 3, subject to Event Director or Disputes Committee authorisation.

JUNIOR TOP GUNS: (Open Spec / Rifle - Match 1, 2 & 3) Winners of each rifle class/ spec contested.

Feel free to join in on a local club shoot Saturday & make a weekend of it. Shoot courses of fire vary, and are fun for all who participate.
 Malabar range is local to a variety of shops, eateries and RSL Club. Accommodation & Amenities available on the range for a small fee.
