Introduction: This is the inaugural running of the VIC State Titles for International Service Rifle, and we want YOU to “keep’em in the X”. Every Service, Field and Match rifle enthusiast should not miss this event. Something for everyone!
Important* Weekend Outline: This shoot offers a double shot for multiple rifle spec scores in the National Tour.
- Each detail will receive a 3 minute preparation period to make ready to shoot. There will be NO extensions or
exceptions to this - shooters must be ready to go at all times.
- Shooters may enter up to 2 classes for the NMC over the weekend – 1 per day only. Shooter chooses which day they will shoot their elected rifle spec, which that score will count towards the State Titles. Shooters shooting the same spec
over 2 days will have the result from the first day count, but 2nd day count towards another (higher) spec.
Spec 1: Service - Standard Iron - Any issued iron sights service rifle in original condition - zero modifications.
Spec 2: Service - Modified Iron - As above, or faithful reproduction, modified beyond spec - service calibre.
Spec 3: Match - Match Iron - Any commercial, custom or service rifle, of any calibre, with iron sights.
Spec 5: Service/Match - Optical - As per Specs 1, 2, or 3 but fitted with optical sights.
Schedule 8.00am: Sign-on, briefing and squadding, followed with day briefing – DO NOT BE LATE.
For Weekend 8.30am: Warm up: 200 – 3 rounds any position, each shot marked.
Event Outline: Each day will feature the “National Match Course”.
HPR SATURDAY – CORRYONG REGIONAL & VIC STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS OPEN (for 1st spec)
STRING 1 200 Slow Fire Application, Standing U/S (2 sighters + 10 rounds) 12min,
STRING 3 300 Rapid Fire, Prone U/S (2 sighters + 10 rounds) 70sec,
STRING 5 600 Slow Fire Application, Prone U/S (2 sighters + 20 rounds) 22min,
Note: Matches 1&2, and 3&4 are shot back to back.
Note: Strings 1, 2, 3 & 5 make up the “National Match Course” for classification, qualification and International postal.
MSD SATURDAY – CORRYONG REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS – Std rifle only.
Warmup: 5 shots in 5 minutes, each shot individually marked/spotted.
String 1: SSAA 300m Snap C match. 5 exposures of 6 seconds, 2 shots per exposure (total of 10 rounds) prone.
String 2: SSAA 3P Core Event. 30 rnds walkdown. 300, 200 and 100 over 3 positions.
String 3: SSAA Rapid Fire B. 100m, 20 rounds – 2x 10 rnds each 50sec prone.
HPR SUNDAY – VIC STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS OPEN (for 2nd choice of rifle spec)
*** This HPR shoot is conducted the same way and course as HPR Saturday match. ***
HPR Trophies: - Titles for HPR Corryong Regional Open and VIC HPR Champs are awarded by rifle spec.
- Top Guns by rifle spec.
MSD Trophies: - Titles for HPR Corryong Regional Open and VIC HPR Champs are awarded by rifle spec.
- Top Guns for Aggregate of 3 strings - by rifle spec.
Results also go towards the “Australian National Tour Championships”.
Fees: $35 per day, or $50 for both days.
Bring own refreshments.
No pre-nominations required, just up show up for the weekend…….
Would appreciate your intention to attend by 1st February for preparation purposes.
Please come fully self sufficient. Major town, Corryong, 8min from range on Murray Valley Hwy.
Range is located approx 4km south from NSW/VIC border – 10km north of Corryong township on eastern side of Murray hwy. The range is directly on side of road – with 1200yard line only a 100yards from roadside…
