LOWER NORTH COAST (TAREE/WINGHAM) RIFLE OPEN GP ROUND SERVICE/FIELD/SPORTER/MATCH/OPEN RIFLE 29-30 OCTOBER 2011

If you own a field rifle, factory sporter, 303, Mauser or any type of centrefire rifle, this is your weekend!

Equip:   Either scope or binoculars etc, Shooting Mat, Pen, Eye and Ear protection, licence, etc.

SATURDAY – HOSTED BY WINGHAM RIFLE CLUB

MATCH 1   9am - TACTICAL MATCH COURSE – “ANY Rifle” (bi-pod or front rest etc only)

- Warm Up, 5 shots in 5 minutes @ 600 Yards.            Entire match shot on MR-1 target.

                        - Deliberate, 10 rounds in 3 minutes (no marking), then directly into next string,

                        - Snap, 5x 6 second exposures to fire 10 rounds.

MATCH 2   Midday - INTERNATIONAL MATCH COURSE – 600 SLOW FIRE.

There will be 2x IMC matches.  The 600 held Saturday.  Standing, sitting and prone rapid held on the Sunday.

String 1a (1^st spec)       600,     Deliberate         - 2 sighters then 20 shots, Prone, MR-1 target – 22min

String 1b (2^nd spec)      600,     Deliberate         - 2 sighters then 20 shots, Prone, MR-1 target – 22min

Note: Sat, Wingham Rifle Club will be shooting fullbore side by side.  Palma rifle owners are welcome, and encouraged, to join in with the local club for a couple of dollars, time permitting.  24 rounds.

IMC for 1st choice of spec       - Start with 5 sighters in 5 minutes, walkup and patch.

String 2a           200,     Deliberate         - 10 shots, Standing Off Hand, on SR target – 10min.

String 3a           200,     Rapid               - 10 shots 60 sec, Sitting or Kneeling, SR target.

String 4a           200,     Rapid               - 10 shots 70 sec, Prone, SR-42 target.

String 2a           200,     Deliberate         - 10 shots, Standing Off Hand, on SR target – 10min.

TROPHIES:

Cost: $20 per day.  Tactical only $15.

Non AIHPA members pay $5 per event pass to be eligible to titles.  Membership available on the day.

All food and drinks are BYO all weekend.

BBQ held Saturday at close of day, $5.  Drinks extra.

Pre-nominations not required – just show up each day.

Accommodation: Local motels and hotels in the Taree and Wingham area – self to arrange.

Camping at range is permitted for $5 per night to the range committee.  Hot showers, under cover area’s, etc…

Range: Wingham range, located around four hours drive north of Sydney.

Drive north along Comboyne Rd approx 2km from the Wingham town centre.  Turn left on Rifle Range Road.

(Note: There is a “Rifle Range Road” west of Taree, which is the smallbore range.  This is NOT the range for this event.)
