AIHPA -
HIGH POWER RIFLE |
Background: The first ever IMC High Power Rifle National Championships ran in 2004, held at the Tamworth/Peel Valley Rifle Club. It is the biggest title on the Australian High Power Rifle calendar. The event originated by running the International Match Course, over a single day where each shooter could only contest a single rifle specification. It has proved so popular, that in 2006, it was shot over 2 days where shooters could contest 2 rifle specs in the championship. By 2006, the Nationals was expanded to the National Matches, for the different match courses managed by AIHPA.
